MENTORING SESSIONS ARE A GO
Motivation, encouragement and strategies from a hybrid author who wants to help
Hi lovely readers! This one is for the author friends I have out there who might be feeling a little overwhelmed by everything lately. I’ve decided to bite the scary bullet and trial something: I'm now offering mentoring sessions!
These will be held face to face over Zoom/WhatsApp, and will be one hour long motivational sessions, with an option to book blocks of weekly sessions, dealing with:
Hybrid publishing
Finding agents
Motivation & Writer's block
Social Media as an author or creative
Writing craft
Self-publishing
Career goals and long term strategies
Anything else you want to talk about
I'm currently offering these one hour sessions as an opportunity for authors to talk about all things writing, publishing and creativity, and would ask anyone interested to send over a list of questions they had beforehand so I can have a think about them in advance, once we’ve scheduled you in.
It would be a fairly low-key, free-flowing general mentoring discussion to begin with, but I also offer more detailed sessions where we could look at specific writing goals strategies to help achieve them.
I would charge £30 for the hour, via PayPal.
If you wanted to book a block of weekly sessions, say if you had a particularly knotty plot problem or wanted that more in-depth career motivation, etc, I could do a block of five sessions for £125, payable up front. Ten sessions would be £200, also payable up front.
I would send a little contract out first which will give you a chance to detail times/dates most convenient for you, so I can get your slot booked in.
Additionally, if anyone was after more detailed support in terms of wanting someone to read first novel/novella drafts and provide structural, in-depth feedback, similar to a Developmental Edit, with an actionable Editorial letter, I can do that too, but the cost would be higher depending on the word count of any manuscript you were working on.
Anyone interested can contact me here and make sure to put MENTORING in the form somewhere for me.
Much love in these, the most confusing of times,
Gemma
